Jello Wrestling ?!?!

Yep you definately heard me right :) I am proud to say that I stood my ground well over the weekend as I somehow got roped into a jello wrestling tournament. I guess that's what you get when you're dating the host of the part right?!? Well for those like my mother who had never heard of such a thing let me explain it to you... Basically you find a decently durable kiddie pool. Order enough jello powder to make 75 gallons of cherry jello (yes you special order jello wrestling jello) and then you mix it up in the pool let it sit for 20 minutes then it's time to WRESTLE!! hahaha Ok ok now if you know me you know that I'm one of the most accident prone people ever and knowing this you may ask why would I ever think to place my self in a pit of slippery wet goop and wrestle my friend who is on the softball team here at Utah State and works out at the gym regularly... again, I don't really have an answer. It was just one of those spontaneous things that happened :) But it was super fun! Each match was themed and ours was cowboy vs. indian:) Now I was the indian and a pretty darn cute one at that right?
The motive of the match was that the ref hid 5 gold necklaces in the jello and whoever had the most at the end of the 30 second round won. There were 3 rounds and I am so proud to say that despite the fact that I was up against an opponent that was twice the size of me, I did win the first round. Now the second round got a little more intense, I got body slammed once but I still held my ground well. It came down to the third round, we were tied and ready to go for the gold (literally). Then the ref changed the rules, he announced to the crowd of 100 people watching that the only way to win the last round was to pin your opponent. If that didn't scare the daylights out of me nothing could. The whistle blew and the rest is history. She took me down I faught back enough to get out of her grip then it turned into a little bit of "girls gone wild" in Logan Utah (which is what the dj was commenting at the time)... I pulled her hair she picked me up body slammed me again, I fought back for a little while, the crowd was going wild and finally she found her victory. I lost with dignity and we ended the match with a hug! It was a great experience, the jello felt awesome and I had a blast! Now granted, if you recall, I am very easily and often injured and yes it's true, I did walk away from this moment with trouble breathing a swollen knee and bruises covering my arms and legs... but no worries the doctor says nothing's broken, I just have some bruised ribs a little bit of swelling in my knee and a cute little waddle as I walk. But don't forget the AWESOME story to go with it all :) And although I do have to take it easy for awhile it was worth it...
